Louellen Coker, Founder, Chief Content Coach
Louellen holds a Master of Arts degree in Technical Communication from the University of North Texas and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Baylor University. Once she started her graduate degree, it didn’t take long for her to realize that this is exactly where she belongs: in the world of writing. She loves it so much, she founded her own company based on helping clients effectively communicate their desired message within their own businesses and with their communities through print, design, and the web. Since starting this grand venture, she has conducted several conference presentations, published numerous articles, and taught workshops on Social Media Marketing.
But of course, Louellen doesn’t just go through the motions when it comes her business. She also becomes involved in everything she can to better her knowledge for her clients and herself. For example, she is a former council member and president of the Lone Star Community of the Society for Technical Communication, is an Associate Fellow of the Society for Technical Communication, and served as the President of the Women Business Owners of Denton County in both 2008 and 2009. She has also been a member of IEEE Professional Communication Society, National Association of Photoshop Professionals, InDesign Users Group, and DFW Search Engine Marketers. She also served as the Public Relations chairperson on the Family Resource Center of North Texas Board of Directors from 2007 through 2009 and currently serves on the Denton County Adoption Day Committee.
When Louellen isn’t working in the technical writing salt mines, she’s either traveling with her husband, hiking all over the world, winning national and state championship sailing regattas, training for and participating in endurance events such a triathlons, bicycling, and marathons.
